Join us at our Shabbat Services on the 23rd as we join with Mazon in a presentation to the Food Bank for Monterey County. Over the last 25 years, with the steady support of congregations like ours, Mazon has emerged not only as a national Jewish voice on hunger issues, but also as one of the fastest-growing private sector responses to hunger in the country. Our congregation is proud to play a role in this important nationwide effort. This year alone, Mazon awarded over $3.3 million to 300 hunger-fighting organizations.
On Friday evening we will welcome Lee Hulquist a representative from the Food Bank of Monterey County as we present her with a Mazon check for $13,000. We are honored to work with both Mazon and the Food Bank to fight the problem of hunger in Monterey County.
