Since 1988, the Annual Jewish Food Festival ("JFF") has been put on by our entire congregation for the entire community. It is more than our biggest fund-raiser, it has become a "must-do" for many in the general community. The JFF features traditional Jewish food, tours of the synagogue with explanations of Jewish traditions, the dramatization of a traditional Jewish marriage ceremony, entertainment, and craft booths.
The 25th annual Carmel event premiers at Congregation Beth Israel. As we delight our guests with homemade comfort foods such as potato latkes, kugel, blintzes, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, tasty home baked challah, rugelach and mandelbrot, and of course, chicken soup. Klezmer music, a Jewish wedding enactactment, Israeli folk dancing, sanctuary tours and handmade Israeli and American crafts create a fun, outdoor cultural event for the entire family. For more information, contact Congregation Beth Israel 831-624-2015.
This year we celebrated our 25thAnniversary of bringing time-honored Jewish cuisine, customs, crafts and entertainment to the community August 26. Plan on joining us for our upcoming 26th Annual Jewish Food Festival August 25, 2013! We hope to see you there!
