2:00 PM - 3:00 PMCBIJoin CBI Director of Education Sophie Little and Dr. Netta Avineri for a special Best Years program as we explore the exciting new L’dor V’dor Community Storytelling Project. This initiative brings our 6th and 7th grade Hesed Academy students together with senior members of our congregation to exchange stories, build connections, and strengthen Jewish identity across generations. At this event, we’ll introduce the goals of the project and share how community members can get involved. You’ll learn about the types of questions students will ask, reflect on meaningful experiences from your own life, and help us prepare for powerful intergenerational conversations that will take place later this year.
About Dr. Netta Avineri
Dr. Avineri is the curriculum designer and consultant for the L'dor V'dor Project. She is the Executive Director of the Kathryn Wasserman Davis Collaborative in Conflict Transformation at Middlebury. She is an applied linguistic anthropologist and teacher educator with deep expertise in ethnographic research, heritage language socialization, intercultural communication, and Jewish education.
This event is an important step in preparing both our students and our community to come together for meaningful dialogue and connection. We hope you’ll join us to learn, share, and be part of this exciting new project at CBI!
