Sunday, February 22, 2026 • 5 Adar 5786
3:00 PM - 5:00 PMCBIFebruary 22, 2026 | 3pm-5pm
Presenter: Catherine Forest, MD PMP; Retired Professor of Family and Community Medicine, UCSF Natividad
Dr. Forest will systematically go through several of the most used Advance Directives for Health Care utilized in California. In additiona, she will discuss all the options available at end of life such as hospice, medical aid in dying (MAID), and volyntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED). This is an opportunity to build your best "off-ramp."
This is the fourth session in a workshop series that began at the end of January. We strive to have each interactive session include a safe place for sharing, and an opportunity for participants to take first steps toward completing plans for the end of life. Our experience is that these conversations can be joyful and comforting (and surprisingly fun).
You can participate in these sessions as a series, or individually. They are free of charge; donations to CBI’s Ozrim Restricted Fund are appreciated. Please register for each event separately. All workshops will be held at CBI. They are open to the entire Monterey Peninsula Jewish Community - invite others to attend with you.
