Tuesday, June 11, 2024 • 5 Sivan 5784
6:30 PM - 9:00 PMEvening Shavuot Study Shavuot, our summer pilgrimage festival celebrates the last harvest of the year on Israel’s agricultural calendar. Biblically it is also the time when our ancestors received the Revelation at Mount Sinai. Arriving seven weeks after Passover, our Shavuot observance this year will begin on Tuesday evening June 11. Let’s make it a special evening. We will gather at 6:30pm to enjoy a light potluck nosh. Please bring blintzes or salads or other dishes to share (please no meat!!) CBI will provide beverages, plates, and plastic ware. After enjoying our nosh we will then spend some time studying the Ten Commandments together. Participants are encouraged but not required to review them (found in Exodus chapter 20) before we gather. Which commandment is the most important? Which one does not belong in “the top 10!” Please call the office or RSVP online and let us know what you might provide for the meal. Happy Shavuot!
Sorry, Registration has ended.
