Thank you for expressing interest in Congregation Beth Israel. We are an active community made up of committed Jews and inter-faith families who have come together to form the Monterey Peninsula’s most dynamic centers for Reform Judaism.  Congregation Beth Israel creates the opportunity and environment for everyone to participate in Jewish life.

Congregation Beth Israel is lucky to have a very generous congregation that allows us to work on a pledge model of membership.  We only ask that you look to your heart and pledge what you can afford.  Our forms indicate a recommended pledge, but we know that not everyone has the means to commit to the full amount.  We hope that if you do have the means, you pledge to the fullest amount you feel comfortable pledging.  And if you can, support those who do not have the means.

Multiple paths for prayer are offered at Congregation Beth Israel, connecting us with our traditions and each other. We are also a place for those seeking a community for which study is a lifelong journey, no matter one’s level of Jewish education. The Congregation Beth Israel community includes an active Havurah program, many opportunities for shared life cycle events and programs for adults of all ages. We invite you to join us and become part of our family as we worship, learn, share mitzvot and enjoy life together.

CBI - 2023-24 PLEDGE COMMITMENT

CBI's pledge model asks you to give what you can (a gift from your heart) in lieu of fixed dues.

• Solely as a guide, the sustaining pledge for the 2023-24 fiscal is $2950 for families and $1900 for singles. 
• Become a member of CBI’s Tzadikim Circle with total yearly giving of $5400.
• We ask every family to add $200 for the Building Fund and $200 for security.
• Last year, you pledged $400.00. We would be grateful for an increase in any amount.
