Our Best Years program this month is a concert of “Music of the Spirit ~ Poems, Prayers & Love Songs” by Cantor Alisa Fineman & Kimball Hurd, at CBI in the sanctuary, on February 28 from 1:00 to 2:00pm. Both award-winning songwriters, Kimball’s instrumental prowess adds dimension to the duo's performances with vocal harmonies and an array of tasteful musical accents on guitar, mandolin, mandola, dobro, banjo and slide guitar. Together, Alisa and Kimball’s loving collaboration and performances have earned them appearances at many festivals including Strawberry, Kate Wolf, South-By-Southwest, and Jacob’s Ladder Folk Festival in Israel. Their music appears on compilations including Putumayo and Barnes & Noble. Alisa & Kimball’s appreciation for the ordinary miracles of every day and love for nature and community infuse their songs with a spirit that moves, inspires and uplifts all who listen. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
